What is the name of the Program, and how does it work?

The name of the Program is called – SOLIDARNOŚĆ RODZIN (Solinornoschi Rogin) – In English – SOLIDARITY OF FAMILIES and is run by SOLIDARITY NETWORK ASSOCIATION has their office in Krakow.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

What do they do, and how is it different from other organizations or teams?

They want to help Ukrainian families affected by the war and make them feel the solidarity of people beyond national borders and military cordons.  It is a long-term support program for Ukrainian families affected by the war. They have established cooperation with Ukrainian organizations and will search for families who are victims of the war and remain in Ukraine. We will prepare an inventory of the family’s needs and connect the family with a supporting family/Organization like us. They will monitor the Program’s progress and support its participants indefinitely.

What is considered as a support?

The support and care can consist of simple acts, such as sending a parcel (with food, hygiene, and sanitary products, etc.), transferring money, and exchanging information.   Right now, for the purpose of our Advent Charity, we are concentrating on collecting goods and delivering them all together as a Parish.

How is the package segregated, and is this a long-term support?

The parcel’s value should be 20-100 euros (100-500 PLN), with a maximum weight of 20 kg. We intend for the packages to be sent regularly. During the initial period, the parcels will be sent via specialized transportation, later through post or couriers.

After our Advent Charity, Can my family and I support a family directly in Ukraine?

Yes -The supporting family will receive the address of the Ukrainian family, a list of the family’s needs, and a copy of a short letter in Ukrainian. They will also provide instructions for packing, describing, and shipping the package. Further forms of support will depend on the Ukrainian family’s response and the dynamic situation in the war zones.
