DAY 1: POLAND – ROME Departure – CASCIA – ROCCAPORENA – NURSIA – ASISI
27.04 WARSZAWA 07:15 – RZYM 09:25 LOT AIRLINES. From Rome travel to Cascia – the Shrine of St. Rita – patroness of difficult and hopeless cases. Holy Mass. Visit to Roccaporena – St. Rita’s birth palce house/church. Transfer to the hotel in the vicinity of Assisi. On the way a short visit to the town of Nursia place of St. Benedict’s birth. Dinner, overnight stay.

DAY 2: ASISI – TOLENTINO – LORETO
After breakfast, transfer to Assisi – the city of St. Francis and St. Clare. Visit to the Basilica of St. Francis, considered one of the most beautiful Christian churches in the whole world. A visit to the Basilica of St. Clare – an important point on the map of sites dedicated to the saints in Italy. This is because the church houses the remains of the founder of the Poor Clare order, as well as the cross from San Damiano, which spoke to St. Francis. The center of the city is the Town Hall Square (Piazza del Comune), where the Town Hall (Palazzo dei Priori), the seat of administration, rises. In addition, in the square stands the Temple of Minerva, now the church of Santa Maria sopra Minerva. Visit the sites associated with Bl. Carlo Acutis. Transfer to a hotel in the vicinity of Loreto. On the way a visit to Tolentino combined with participation in Mass. Dinner, overnight stay.

DAY 3: LORETO – MANOPELLO – GENAZZANO – ROME
Breakfast. Drive to Loreto – where Poles had the opportunity to make a meritorious contribution to the city they liberated during World War II, in 1944, and saved the basilica from fire during a German bombardment. At the foot of the shrine is a cemetery where 1,200 Polish soldiers are buried. Tour of the Shrine of Holy House of Nazareth, which was transferred from Palestine to Italy. Holy Mass. Then we travel Manoppello, where we will visit the city’s shrine, which houses one of the most important relics of Christianity, the Shroud of Manopello, with which St. Veronica wiped the face of Jesus. Transfer to a a hotel near Rome for dinner and overnight. On the way, we will stop in Genazzano and pray at the Augustinian Sanctuary of Our Mother of Good Counsel, which hold the image of Our Lady transferred to Italy from Albania.

DAY 4: ROME
After breakfast, transfer to the General Audience with the Holy Father and then transfer to the Aventine; guided tour: rose and orange gardens, Basilica of St. Sabina, the famous keyhole at the Knights of Malta, Circus Maximus, Basilica of Santa Maria in Cosmedin (with the “Mouth of Truth”), Forum Boarium with the temples of Hercules the Victorious and Portummus, Church of Santa Prisca. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 5: ROME
After breakfast, Mass at the Basilica of St. Paul behind the Walls. Visit in the Tre Fontane Abbey where St. Paul was decapitated. Afternoon guided tour of the Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. Free time for a self-guided walking tour of Rome, during which you can see the Capitol (a place since antiquity considered to be the spiritual, political and cultural heart of Rome), Venetian Square – at which stands a monument recalling the great work of unification of the Italian state in 1860-1870 depicting its first king Victor Emmanuel II. Pantheon – an architectural gem built in the first half of the second century AD. (admission 5 euros/person), the only ancient remnant still standing today in its entirety, Piazza Navona – with Bernini’s “Four Rivers” fountain, Spanish Square with the famous Spanish steps, Trevi Fountain. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 6: OSTIA ANTICA – MONTE CASSINO NOTE: This day may be subdued to change at our wish
After breakfast, drive to Ostia Antica – Mass. Ostia Antica was for centuries the port of Rome located at the mouth of the Tiber River. Visit the archaeological park with temples, thermae, theater, aqueduct and even lavatories discovered by archaeologists. Drive to visit Monte Cassino – a symbol of the courage of Polish soldiers. During World War II, battles between Allied and German troops took place here. The Allied forces included the Second Polish Army Corps under the command of General Wladyslaw Anders, whose soldiers were the first to fly the white and red flag after taking the hill. Visit to the Polish war cemetery, where Gen. Anders is also buried. Afternoon return to hotel; dinner, overnight..

Day 7: VATICAN CITY – ROME
Breakfast. Transfer to Vatican City. Vatican Museums – one of the largest collections of art in the world with exhibits from antiquity to the twentieth century and the Sistine Chapel with the famous frescoes of Michelangelo – the place where popes are elected, the so-called Conclave, St. Peter’s Basilica – the place where the remains of the first pope – St. Peter – have rested for 2 thousand years. The famous Pieta by Michelangelo – “the most beautiful sculpture of the past, present and future”. Drive to the Basilica of St. John Lateran; the Holy Steps; free time. Return to hotel near Rome. Dinner. Overnight.

DAY 8: ROME – POLAND
Breakfast. Departure. Holy Mass at the Basilica of Our Lady Major in Rome. Angelus wioch the Holy Father. Angelus prayer at 12:00 In St. Peter’s Sqaure withs he Holy Father; free time for lunch on your own, souvenir shopping, walking.. Transfer to the airport in Rome. Departure to Warsaw. Return to Poland. End of the pilgrimage. Flight to Poland RZYM 19:40 – WARSZAWA 22:00 LOT AIRLINES

PRICE INCLUDES: flights Warsaw – Rome – Warsaw (included hand luggage 8 kg and registered luggage up to 23 kg), travel by comfortable, air-conditioned coach, accommodation in 3* hotels (local standard), 2 meals a day (Italian breakfasts reinforced with cheese and ham; dinners consisting of the first course such as. pasta, soup, risotto and a second meat course with a starter; dessert or fruit; water), care of a English speaking pilot and professional local guides, Audio Guide system, insurance against medical expenses 250,000 EURO/person. (+ against chronic diseases up to 40% of the sum insured against medical expenses), against accidents 4 000 EURO/person, LUGGAGE – 400 EURO/person, entrances to cities, parking lots, obligatory fee for the tourist guarantee fund 10 PLN/person and the Assistance Fund 10 PLN/person.
PRICE DOES NOT INCLUDE: personal expenses, Climate fees in hotels ( about 15 EURO/person ); meals not mentioned in the program; everything that is not included in the “price includes”. Extra visits in archeological Parks such as Ostia Antica, Forum Romanum, Necropolis.

The program is a framework and the order of sightseeing is subject to change. The price is for a person in a double room. Possibility to pay extra for a single room on request. It is possible to purchase cancellation insurance in the amount of 3.2% of the value of the trip – within 48 h after signing the contract.
