Dear friends of St. Paul’s
UPDATE: We are planning on having both noon and 19:30 masses, starting this week. There is a limit of 45 people per mass (see details below). We are asking Parishioners to sign up, so we have an estimate of how many people will be in attendance. You can sign up here ST PAUL ENGLISH MASS ATTENDANCE FORM . Note: This form will be refreshed every Monday, so your sign up only applies to the upcoming Sunday.
Some updates on our current situation in the parish.
- Polish Government announced that opening up space begins on April 20th. Churches can reopen, but the limit is: 1 person per 15 square meters. This means that our first Mass after reopening will be celebrated on 26th of April at 12:00 noon.
- The reopen will be slow but sure:
- According to the regulations our church allows 40-45 ca. persons per Mass, altar servers and organist excluded:
- Only one door will be open to allow entry to the church (looking at the church from the front, the door closest to the street in the garden to the left)
- Someone will be counting those who enter the church to assure we do not go over the 45 person limit
- Individuals should be split between the main church (20), the side chapel (20) and the old sacristy (5…room off the alter, between the church & the side chapel).
- According to the regulations our church allows 40-45 ca. persons per Mass, altar servers and organist excluded:
-
- Only Communion on the hand is allowed.
- There will be no chalice.
- We invite you to bring your own hand sanitizer , however we will make one available at the Alter railing.
- Those of you who will not fit in the church will have to wait, but there will be a Communion service after the Mass.
- There will be still virtual Mass this week streamed via Parish Facebook page on April 19th at 12:00 noon . Beginning April 26th, the Mass from the Church will be streamed online for those who still cannot attend.
- Obviously there will be no fellowship after the Mass until further notice.
- The First Holy Communion will quite likely be postponed. Discussions are still taking place between Sr. Margaret (RE Coordinator), Alex Visalda (Teacher) and Fr. Wiesław.
- Confirmation is also postponed to a further notice as this has to be negotiated with the bishop.
A thought from St. Augustine:
Bad times, hard times. This is what people keep saying. But let us live well and times shall be good. We are the times: such as we are, such are the times.

Please share this update with as many as possible.
